Last updated: 30 October 2026
Scope of the Policy and Covered Services
This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of courses and related services offered through newsifiq. The services include professional training modules on studio equipment integration, dynamic camera techniques, acoustic optimization, lighting setups, and reliable production processes tailored for news programs, interviews, and live shows. It covers individual course enrolments, bundled packages, and any digital access materials provided as part of the training. The policy does not extend to third-party equipment purchases or external consultancy arranged separately.
Prices, Currencies, Taxes, and Additional Charges
All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP). Course fees are inclusive of applicable Value Added Tax (VAT) at the prevailing UK rate. No hidden charges apply for standard enrolment; however, optional add-ons such as extended access periods or certification may incur extra fees clearly stated at checkout. Currency conversion for international payments is handled by the payment provider and may include additional bank fees outside our control.
Accepted Payment Methods, Authorisation, and Security
We accept major credit and debit cards, PayPal, and bank transfers for course bookings. Payments are authorised immediately upon submission of the order. All transactions are processed through secure, PCI-DSS compliant gateways to protect card details. newsifiq does not store payment information directly on its systems.
Order Confirmation and Contract Formation
Upon successful payment, an order confirmation email is sent containing details of the purchased course. The contract between you and newsifiq is formed at the point of payment authorisation. Access to digital course content is granted instantly following confirmation, subject to the terms outlined here.
Cancellation Rights and Applicable Periods
Under UK consumer law, you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase during which you may cancel without penalty, provided no substantial course content has been accessed. For digital services, cancellation rights may be lost once download or streaming begins. Subscriptions, if offered, can be cancelled at any time with prorated refunds considered case by case.
Refund Eligibility, Exclusions, and Non-Refundable Items
Refunds are available for cancellations within the cooling-off period or where services are defective. Exclusions apply to courses already completed, partially accessed beyond preview materials, or purchased during promotional events with explicit no-refund terms. Customised training packages and non-digital add-ons are generally non-refundable once delivered.
Procedure to Request a Refund
To request a refund, contact us via the form on our Contacts page or email [email protected] within the eligible period. Provide your order number, full name, and reason for the request. Supporting documentation may be requested to verify eligibility.
Inspection, Decision Notification, and Processing
Refund requests are reviewed within 10 business days. You will receive email notification of approval, rejection, or any additional information needed. Approved refunds are processed using the original payment method, typically appearing on your statement within 5 to 10 business days depending on your provider.
Special Rules for Digital Content and Subscriptions
Digital course access is non-returnable once commenced. Subscription renewals follow the same 14-day rule per billing cycle. Promotional offers are subject to their own terms stated at purchase and may limit refund options.
Failed Payments, Chargebacks, and Fraud
Failed payments result in order cancellation with no access granted. Duplicate charges are investigated and refunded promptly upon notification. Chargebacks or suspected fraud trigger account review and may lead to permanent suspension. We comply fully with UK regulations on such matters.
Mandatory Consumer Rights
This policy does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, or UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. These rights cannot be excluded and take precedence where applicable.
