About us

A professional hub for people who put television on air live

newsifiq was built by broadcast professionals who wanted a single place to learn how studios really work: how equipment connects, how cameras move, how rooms sound and how crews stay calm when the red light is on.

Our story

We began as a small group of studio engineers and directors running evening workshops for regional newsrooms. The demand was immediate: teams wanted practical training on news programmes, interviews and live shows, not abstract theory.

Today we run structured courses, studio audits and team packages for broadcasters, production companies and universities across the United Kingdom, always led by people who still work in the gallery.

What we believe

How we teach

  • Learn on real equipment

Every session happens in a working studio, so skills transfer straight to your own gallery.

  • Reliability before flair

We teach redundancy, labelling and calm cue discipline first, because live television forgives nothing.

  • Whole-crew thinking

Engineers, camera operators, sound and directors train together and speak the same language.

  • Small groups

Groups of up to eight keep hands on every control and a mentor within arm's reach.
